True friendship
ఇద్దరు స్నేహితులు ఒక ఎడారి గుండా ప్రయాణిస్తున్నారు. మాటల మధ్యలో ఒక వాదన వచ్చింది. అది పెరిగి క్రమంగా పెద్దదై ఆవేశానికి లోనై ఒక స్నేహితుడు రెండో స్నేహితుణ్ణి చెంప మీద కొట్టాడు. దెబ్బతిన్న మిత్రునికి చాలా బాధ కలిగింది. కానీ అతను తిరిగి ఏమీ మాట్లాడలేదు. కిందకు వంగి ఇసుకలో ఇలా రాశాడు.
“ఈ రోజు నా ప్రియ మిత్రుడు నన్ను చెంప పై కొట్టాడు”
అలా ఇద్దరూ నడుస్తూ ఒక ఒయాసిస్సు దగ్గరకు చేరుకున్నారు. అక్కడ ఇద్దరూ స్నానం చేసి సేద తీరాలనుకున్నారు. దెబ్బతిన్న స్నేహితుడు ప్రమాదవశాత్తూ ఒక ఊబిలో ఇరుక్కుపోయాడు. కానీ సమయానికి మిత్రుడు వచ్చి సహాయం చేయడంతో బ్రతికి బయటపడ్డాడు. మళ్ళీ ఏమీ మాట్లాడకుండా చిన్నగా ఒక రాయి దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళి మరో రాయితో దానిమీద ఇలా లిఖించాడు.
“ఈ రోజు నా ప్రియ మిత్రుడు నా ప్రాణాన్ని కాపాడాడు”
కాపాడిన మిత్రుడు అతన్ని ఇలా అడిగాడు. “నేను నిన్ను కొట్టినపుడు నువ్వు ఆ సంగతి ఇసుకలో రాశావు. కానీ నేను నిన్న కాపాడిన సంగతి మాత్రం రాతిమీద రాశావు. ఎందుకలా చేశావు?”
దానికి అతను ఇలా సమాధానమిచ్చాడు “మనల్ని ఎవరినైనా బాధించినపుడు దాన్ని ఇసుక పై రాత లాగా తాత్కాలిక జ్ఞాపకంగా ఉంచుకోవాలి. ఎందుకంటే క్షమ అనే గాలులు వచ్చినపుడు అవి చెరిగి పోతాయి. అలాగే మనకు ఎవరైనా సహాయం చేసినపుడు దాన్ని రాయి లాంటి జ్ఞాపిక మీద భద్రపరుచుకోవాలి ఎందుకంటే ఏ గాలులూ దాన్ని చెరపలేవు”
కాబట్టి ప్రియమిత్రులారా! ఇది మీ జీవితానికి అన్వయించుకుని సంతోషమయం చేసుకుంటారని ఆకాంక్షిస్తున్నాను.
